Our service born from family values to support clients faced with advancing age, infirmity, or disability to remain in the familiar and much-loved surroundings of their own homes, whilst retaining their independence and choice.
You can have peace of mind knowing that:
- All our carers are DBS checked.
- We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and comply with all regulatory requirements.
- We have robust quality assurance procedures, which allow us to respond promptly to your feedback.
Home Care Essex practice manager, Jane Stevens, and her team have over 50 years in the industry and have been trained to the highest standards.
‘I passionately believe in giving the best possible care for all our clients. They are entitled to be treated with respect and dignity at all times and I leave no stone unturned in ensuring the whole team at Home Care Essex delivers to the highest possible standards.’ – Jane Stevens
The staff at Home Care Essex all believe in the same values as the practice manager, who personally interviews and assesses all Care Assistants to ensure that they have a natural compassion for others, and want to make a real difference in people’s lives.
All new staff begin their roles with the Skills for Care induction program, which enables them to begin working towards a QCF qualification in Health and Social Care. They also have ongoing training to ensure they are fully qualified to meet specific needs.
Care Assistants also need support, and we make sure they benefit from regular confidential supervision sessions, as well as 24/7 mobile phone access to an experienced member of the care team, so help and advice is always a phone call away.
Our Clients receive their care the way they want, at a time when they want to have it delivered. They are involved in all decision-making, including agreement of their personalised care plan.
We know that emotional and moral support for our clients and their family can be just as important as our specialist care knowledge, so it is ingrained in the support we provide and we always keep in close contact with concerned family and friends.
We also understand that good day-to-day communication is vital to give families and loved one’s peace of mind, which is why all daily records and communication sheets are kept accessible in the Clients’ home.
We recognise how important Care Assistants are. From pay rewards (we pay above the industry average) to training, through to personal development programmes, we value our team and are relentless in ensuring we maintain the highest professional and personal standards.
All our team are passionate about the care they give, are empathetic, understanding and have the desire to provide the best possible service.
When going through the recruitment process, they must show and demonstrate all the qualities required to be a Care Assistant.
They undergo thorough pre-employment checks, including references and CRB /DBS checks.
Matching just the right Care Assistants with the individual’s needs is so important to us, so we meet with you before our service commences to make sure that you are comfortable and feel happy with the people coming into your family home.
After your service begins, we will visit regularly to ensure that you are being provided with the service that was planned and that you and your family are satisfied with every aspect of the care received.
